A score of 300 in one-day internationals has become quite common now and as earlier this score was considered a measure of victory, nowadays no score is safe. Till March 2006, no team had scored 400 even once, but since then it has scored more than 400 scores 20 times. Australia had scored 400 for the first time and in the same match, South Africa also registered a historic victory by scoring 400.
The score of 300 in one-day internationals was first scored by England in the 1975 World Cup against India.
The Indian team crossed the 300 mark for the 100th time in the ODI series against Sri Lanka in December 2017 and became the first team to do so. The record for the highest score is held by England (481/6 vs Australia, Nottingham 2018).

India (120)
The Indian team has so far scored the highest score of 300 or more. On these occasions, India has also crossed the score of 400 5 times. The Indian team crossed the 300 mark for the first time on April 15, 1996, against Pakistan in Sharjah. India had scored 305/5 in that match and defeated Pakistan by 28 runs. India scored 400 for the first time in the 2007 World Cup against Bermuda at Port of Spain. India’s score in that match was 413/5 and won by 257 runs.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 418/5, which was made on 8 December 2011 against West Indies.
Australia (113)
Australia scored 300 for the first time on 11 June 1975 against Sri Lanka. Australia scored 328/5 in that match and defeated Sri Lanka by 52 runs.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 434/4, which he made on 12 March 2006 against Australia at Johannesburg. Australia has scored more than 400 scores twice so far.
South Africa (86)
South Africa scored 300 for the first time on 11 December 1994 against New Zealand. In that match, South Africa scored 314/7 and defeated New Zealand by 81 runs.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 439/2, which he made against West Indies on 18 January 2015. South Africa has so far crossed the 400 mark 6 times.
Pakistan (86)
Pakistan scored 300 for the first time on 14 June 1975 against Sri Lanka. Pakistan (330/6) had defeated Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 192 runs in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 399/1, which was made by Pakistan on 20 July 2018 against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
England (84)
England scored 300 for the first time on 7 June 1975 against India. England (334/4) had defeated India by a huge margin of 202 runs in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 498/4, which England made on 17 June 2022 against the Netherlands. This score is also the world record for the highest ODI score. England has scored 400 so far five times.
Sri Lanka (77)
Sri Lanka scored 300 for the first time on 23 February 1992 against Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka (313/7) had defeated Zimbabwe by three wickets in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 443/9, which he made on 4 July 2006 against the Netherlands. Sri Lanka has crossed the 400 mark twice so far.
New Zealand (63)
New Zealand scored 300 for the first time on 7 June 1975 against East Africa. New Zealand (309/5) had defeated East Africa by a huge margin of 181 runs in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 402/2, which he made on 1 July 2008 against Ireland. New Zealand has scored 400 once so far.
West Indies (52)
West Indies scored 300 for the first time on 22 February 1978 against Australia. West Indies (313/9) beat Australia by 44 runs in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 389, which he made against England on 27 February 2019.
Zimbabwe (29)
Zimbabwe scored 300 for the first time on 23 February 1992 against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka (313/7) beat Zimbabwe (312/4) by three wickets in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 351/7, which he made on 29 January 2009 against Kenya.
Bangladesh (22)
Bangladesh scored 300 for the first time on 17 March 2006 against Kenya. Bangladesh (301/7) had defeated Kenya by 131 runs in that match.
The record for the highest score in an innings is 333/8, which he made on 20 June 2019 against Australia.
Apart from this, Ireland has 14 times in ODIs, Scotland 10 times, Netherlands and Afghanistan four times, Kenya, Asia XI and UAE three times, Africa XI, Namibia, and the USA twice, and ICC World XI. XI, Oman have scored 300 once each.
As of June 26, 2022, a total of 781 one-day internationals have scored a score of 300 or more.
